The Atlanta Humane Society visits The Kimmer

The Kimmer is no stranger to news.

His news background includes stops at KRON-TV in San Francisco, WLS-TV in Chicago, WDSU-TV and WGSO-TV in New Orleans, and KOOL-TV and radio in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Kimmer is no stranger to service.

He’s a Vietnam combat veteran and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1966-1969 with an honorable discharge and rank as Sergeant. He supports Wounded Warriors and the USMC’s Toys for Tots program.

“It feels like coming home for the holidays. I’m really thrilled. We want to bring back a little common sense to the news/talk business and do some serious fooling around, too. We’re bringing back the team – Jim Gossett’s ‘Newsmaker Line’ and sports with Pete “Snake” Davis – so nobody is safe from ridicule. Sounds like fun.“  – The Kimmer

Pete Davis

Born in the shadow of Elvis in Mississippi, Pete was raised all over the South and has called Atlanta home since he was 8 years old.  After 3 years surfing in San Diego to avoid college, he graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in Journalism, which he promptly wasted by going into radio. An Atlanta broadcast veteran since Ronald Reagan was president and former sideline reporter for the Atlanta Falcons, Pete lives with his dog Bear in the lukewarm waters of Gwinnett.

Turn-ons:  Sports, movies, painting, riding big waves, the ladies.

Turn-offs: Not living on a beach. A-holes.
